About Bradley Stone:
Hi, and welcome to www.bradleystone.com. I started this web site many years ago as a way to share some of the art I did with friends. It has led to quite an adventure. I've worked with so many talented artist and designers across the country and even world that it sometimes even leaves my jaw dangling.
Where did it all start? That is the question I've been trying to answer myself. I remember being a little kid and having a grandmother who was a famous water color artist. She taught me a lot about painting and being an artist, and I still have to think that most of it leads back to her. She taught me how to be an "observer". I think that is a great gift. I stopped being part of the scenery and started to notice everything.
I think a lot of art and design is about observation. You look at your clients needs, their audience, and find unique ways to convey this message. You look for some way to pull all this together into a mission that is unique enough, and high quality enough, to turn heads.
Without observation we probably wouldn't be able to fly or perhaps even roll something down a hill on purpose. It seems like a simple idea but even E=MC2 came from observation.
Sometimes I feel as if I'm half scientist and half artist. I find myself following scientific studies about how San Serif fonts read better on a screen and Serif fonts read better on paper. I find myself compiling data on which colors sell the best. (it's RYB by the way ;) Yes, it might seem like a strange world I live in but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am an artist. I am a designer.
Right now I'm looking for a job. I'm not as concerned with luxurious salaries as I am with stability. While running my company has been a fun adventure and I've learned a LOT I'd like to put my skills to work in a team. However, this doesn't mean I am not taking contracts. I still have to put food on the table. So please don't hesitate to call. You've all heard the term "Starving Artists"... well they didn't make that term up for nothing ;)
